These stakeholders include, but are not limited to, businesses on the Estate, external representatives including North Yorkshire Council, Innovate UK and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), and any other individuals and businesses that will be impacted by the Estate’s decarbonisation. This Dissemination Plan should be updated regularly to ensure it accounts for all developments and any progress. It aims to inspire all businesses on the Estate, securing commitment and alignment towards the success of the overarching Decarbonisation Plan.
Businesses should evaluate their interest in joining the Sustainability Committee, and consider the mechanisms, such as meeting frequency, funding, and leadership, to support their participation.
A key recommendation of this Dissemination plan, and to ensure the effective implementation of the Decarbonisation Plan, is the establishment of an Estate-wide Sustainability Committee. This consists of actors representing key businesses across the Estate who would oversee the implementation of the plan, establish responsibilities for each action required for effective decarbonisation, prevent miscommunication, and ensure progress against the plan is maintained. Sustaining momentum will be key, and collaboration across businesses will be essential to effective decarbonisation.
